Tyler The Creator Fans Suspect He'll Join Kendrick Lamar's Halftime Show

Tyler The Creator is more connected to his Los Angeles roots than ever. He released his praised album CHROMAKOPIA and showed support for Kendrick Lamar in the ongoing Drake debate. Fans are now speculating about Tyler's involvement in Dot's Super Bowl performance. A comment from him, along with a shot of a marching band in Lamar's Halftime Show ad, has fans excited. Kendrick shared the commercial, which features him on a football field with people marching around. Although he doesn't react to the band, viewers quickly noticed the similarities to Tyler's CHROMAKOPIA visuals. Throughout the album's promotion, Tyler has worn military-style clothing. Additionally, he left a curious comment on the ad—an emoji of a person with raised hands.

This past year, Tyler and Kendrick have grown closer. Their mutual respect has deepened, especially in 2024. Tyler mentioned Kendrick in his song "Rah Tah Tah," calling him the second most important artist from Los Angeles after Kendrick. He rapped, "Was really Odd Future, all them other n**gas whacked out. The biggest out the city after Kenny, that's a fact now." Tyler also freestyled over Kendrick's new single "Hey Now," titled "That Guy," showcasing his West Coast influence.

Tyler shared the stage with Kendrick at the Pop Out show on Juneteenth, where he performed in the memorable "Not Like Us" medley. It's possible Tyler contributed to the design of Lamar's Halftime Show. However, fans are cautious. Kendrick is a deliberate artist and has already confirmed a duet with former TDE label mate SZA. Only time will reveal the details, but it's fun to speculate.
