Playboi Carti took over the stage at Peacock Theater and delivered a medley of his fan favorites from his latest album.

On Monday night, June 9, the Atlanta rapper and his Opium crew infiltrated the 2025 BET Awards in Los Angeles after he was introduced by host Kevin Hart, comedian Druski and streamer Kai Cenat. Playboi Carti and his DJ Swamp Izzo kicked things off by performing "Like Weezy" from his new album, MUSIC. Carti roamed the stage wearing a BAPE jacket as an homage to Weezy F. Baby while one of his dancers broke out some moves on top of a black luxury SUV.

Playboi Carti continued his set by delivering his other hit "Rather Lie" without The Weeknd. The Opium founder gave fans at the BET Awards and those watching at home a preview of what to expect from his appearance during the "After Hours Til Dawn 2025 Tour." Abel, Carti, and special guest Mike Dean launched the tour last month and plan to invade other major cities across the U.S. and Canada until they close it out in September.

“I love y’all, I appreciate y’all,” Carti said before he wrapped up his set.

Playboi Carti was one of the numerous artists who performed at the 2025 BET Awards. The show featured stunning sets from Teyana Taylor, Leon Thomas, Ravyn Lenae, GloRilla, Lil Wayne and several others who paid homage to "106 & Park." He also came out shortly after Jamie Foxx and Mariah Carey received the Ultimate Icon Award.
