Tamar Braxton & We TV Cut Ties After Singer's Scathing Statement

Tamar Braxton and We TV are officially parting ways.

According to a statement released Friday (July 31), the network has decided to officially end their relationship with Tamar after she broke her silence on her mental health following her recent suicide attempt along with scathing claims against the company.

“Tamar Braxton has been an important part of our network family for more than a decade,” reads We TV’s statement, per Page Six. “As she focuses on her health and recovery at what is clearly a difficult and personal time, we will work with her representatives to honor her request to end all future work for the network. We wish her nothing but the best.”

The decision comes after Tamar — who has appeared on We TV shows Braxton Family Values and the upcoming Get Ya Life! — released a statement after being hospitalized on July 16 after she was found unresponsive in her hotel room for an apparent drug overdose.

In her first statement since the scary episode, the "Love and War" songbird claimed she was “betrayed, taken advantage of, overworked, and underpaid” by the network.

“I wrote a letter over 2 months ago asking to be freed from what I believed was excessive and unfair. I explained in personal detail the demise I was experiencing. My cry for help went totally ignored. However the demands persisted,” Tamar went on, adding that the July 16 incident was “my attempt to end my pain and my life.”

Although Tamar and We TV have severed ties, her new series, Get Ya Life!, will still premiere on September 10. The show was expected to debut on July 30 but was pushed back after the singer’s apparent attempted suicide.
