- Many religious organizations are live-streaming their services, so their congregants can attend services virtually.
- In some parts of the country, coronavirus deniers who are defying social-distancing orders have become infected with the disease.
- Everyone wants this to be over sooner than later. If we all cooperate with the orders, hopefully the danger will disappear sooner.
A pastor of a Florida mega-church was arrested Monday afternoon for breaking the government orders during the coronavirus pandemic by holding a packed Sunday service.
Rodney Howard-Browne, the pastor of The River at Tampa Bay Church, claimed his services were as essential as a supermarket, but law enforcement officials didn't agree. He was charged with "unlawful assembly" and "violation of public health emergency order."
Hillsborough County SheriffChad Chronister said at a news conference Monday, "We're hoping that this serves as a deterrent." (FOX News)
