Post Malone's got a new injury!
He banged-up his ankle at his show in Atlanta, one month after busting a rib onstage. Post was in Atlanta for his Twelve Carat Tour when he took a wrong step up during "Psycho" and twisted his ankle and had to go down on his knees.
Malone tried to keep it going, but the pain was too much and stagehands rushed to his side to see what happened. He hobbled back up to the mic saying he twisted his ankle because of a gap in the stage meant for pyrotechnics.
The show went on, as it's nothing serious, he'll be onstage in Dallas as scheduled.
Post Malone was hospitalized and had to postpone his Twelve Carat Tour concert at TD Garden in Boston.
âBoston, I love yâall so f###### much. On tour, I usually wake up around 4 oâclock PM, and today I woke up to a cracking sound on the right side of my body,â he wrote. âI felt so good last night, but today it felt so different than it has before. Iâm having a very difficult time breathing, and thereâs like a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move.â
In St. Louis last month, Post tripped over an area of the stage used to lower instruments and received attention from medics.
âWeâre in the hospital now, but with this pain, I canât do the show tonight,â the 27-year-old continued. âIâm so f###### sorry. Everyoneâs tickets for tonightâs show will be valid for the reschedule that weâre planning right now. Once again, Iâm so f###### sorry, I love yâall so much. I feel terrible, but I promise Iâm going to make this up to you. I love you Boston, Iâll see you soon. Iâm so sorry.â
Post Maloneâs Twelve Carat Toothache debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The album was initially released as a 14-track album, with a deluxe version featuring two extra songs on June 7, with features from Roddy Ricch, Doja Cat, Gunna, The Weeknd, The Kid LAROI and Fleet Foxes. It's Post Maloneâs fourth straight Top 5 album, but Bleeding debuted at No. 1 and spent five weeks in the top spot.
Twelve Carat Toothache was beaten by Bad Bunnyâs Un Verano Sin Ti, which returned to the top last week.
âYou think about everything at the same time, and itâs fucking overload,â Post Malone revealed about chart success. âThereâs a lot riding on the music. Thereâs a lot riding on just being able to keep making songs. And thatâs hard to do because youâre like, âFuck â I already talked about everything.â And you kind of run out of ideas, and thatâs scary shit. Trying to shove 20 to 25 songs, it doesnât work. Talking to the label [itâs like], âOh, if you have less songs, youâre not going to stream as much,â but the whole thing is that you donât want to compromise your art and your gut vibe on anything. Iâve made a lot of compromises, especially musically, but now I donât feel like I want to anymore. I donât need a No. 1; that doesnât matter to me no more, and at a point, it did.â
