Beyonce May Have Recorded A Secret Song For 'The Lion King' Soundtrack

2018 Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival - Weekend 1 - Day 2

The listing for The Lion King live-action remake's motion picture soundtrack has been revealed!

The 19-song playlist was unveiled early Tuesday morning (June 25) and features appearances from artists like Beyonce, Donald Glover, and several of the film's cast. Unfortunately for the BeyHive, Queen Bey appears to be confirmed for one song on the soundtrack, "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," along with Glover, who has an additional artist credit on the track "Hakuna Matata."

However, there may still be hope yet the "Drunk in Love" musician will have another record on the project, on which track No. 14 remains to be announced. In a recent interview, director Jon Favreau teased an unconfirmed tune Beyonce wrote and recorded for the Hans Zimmer-scored production.

“We have all the original songs, but there's a song that she performed and wrote in the spirit of the production along with working with Lebo M., who's part of it with Hans Zimmer,” he told Fandango. “They were all collaborating with her and helping to bring this new piece of music into a film where there's already a very established musical personality to the piece. So it was nice of them to have them working with her to allow the new song to feel organically a part of the new production.”

The film, in theaters July 19, will see Pharrell Williams producing many of the modern reinterpretations as well as a new composition from Elton John, who also composed and performed on much of the 1994 animated original.
