Has Rihanna Been Cut Out Of 'Ocean’s Eight'?

Have the majority of Rihanna’s scenes in Ocean’s Eight been cut out of the film because she can’t act? That’s the case according to one of this week’s new tabloids, which alleges producers of the upcoming heist move are unhappy with the singer’s performance. Gossip Cop, however, has learned the truth.

Rihanna co-stars alongside Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett and other seasoned actresses in the all-female spinoff of the Ocean’s Eleven franchise, which is currently in post-production. The latest issue of Star now claims the filmmakers are scrambling to salvage the film in the editing room due to the singer’s allegedly poor acting skills. “They cut her out,” a supposed “insider” tells the magazine. “They didn’t just reshoot the scenes differently with her still in them, they removed her entirely.”

The outlet’s dubious insider adds, “She’s the least experienced cast member, and I guess that must have shown.” The seemingly phony source then backtracks on the claim by contending that Rihanna will still appear “in some of the film,” but maintains there will be “less screen time than she was expecting.”

But Gossip Cop checked in with a Warner Bros. insider, who exclusively assures us Rihanna hasn’t been cut out of the reboot, nor are the producers disappointed with her performance. This is a non-issue seemingly concocted simply because the singer is crossing over into a different medium. Simply put, Ocean’s Eight hasn’t become Ocean’s Seven, and Rihanna still has a major role in the film.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has had to debunk one of Star’s phony stories surrounding the highly-anticipated heist movie. Gossip Cop previously called out the tabloid for falsely claiming Bullock and Blanchett were feuding on set. We also busted the magazine’s sister publication, OK!, after it wrongly reported that Ocean’s Eight producers hired an on-set therapist to prevent the cast from fighting with each other. This latest article regarding Rihanna’s role in the film is equally bogus.
